Successful year 2009 for Deldo


Despite the (automotive) crisis Deldo finished the year 2009 successfully. Almost 7 million tyres were sold by the Belgium distributor in the European (replacement) market, resulting a total turnover of approx. 280 million Euro. The (consumer) demand for cheap tyres increased significantly, plus also the acceptance for Chinese tyres in the market.

After a successful winter season 2009 / 2010 we look forward to the coming summer season. As an independent wholesaler, we are satisfied about our recent cold winter season – as are many of our customers.
Thanks to a long winter period and wintry conditions, demand for winter tyres was huge. Besides the traditional winter countries, we noticed also a growing demand in other markets, such as Benelux.

Today, the consumer is more and more interested in buying cheaper products. Compared to last year, the demand for budget tyres – supported by the financial crisis – has increased significantly. As a European market leader we will extend our programs during 2010 and reinforce our position in terms of sales & distribution.

At the moment (February) we are processing many pre-orders for summer tyres, and supporting our dealers with just-in-time delivery. Furthermore, during the season we intend to guarantee a continuous stock level in private and premium labels. Thanks to our stock policy – all under one roof – many tyres can be delivered, in mixed sizes, just-in-time.
